Summary
One of the current difficulties in Thua Thien‐Hue is the problem of imported malaria infection due to exchange and travel in the border area adjacent to the Lao PDR and the Ho Chi Minh Highway connecting the malaria‐endemic areas of Quang Tri and Quang Nam provinces. To proactively organize malaria prevention and control, the locality has developed management measures to impact disease prevention and control interventions for at‐risk groups. The initial steps have brought good results, controlling the number of malaria cases, deaths and the risk of epidemics from imported malaria. Malaria management measures in the border area and the Ho Chi Minh Highway need to be maintained and improved in the coming time to stop the malaria disaster from returning from imported pathogens….
